Earning by Learning salutes Board Member, Scott Gibbs

As board president, Scott Gibbs steers Earning by Learning with authority and accountability.  His leadership provides significant value to our organization. Gibbs is prepared to navigate our board and staff through these very challenging times. He keeps his eye on the prize…transforming children’s lives through reading.

"Earning by Learning is a wonderful organization and I am proud to have served on the Board for the past five years. Spreading EBL's mission throughout the Dallas is a true joy. We have an active and energetic Board that is committed to growing the organization. 2009 has been a banner year as we exceeded $1.5 million in incentives earned by our students since inception of the program. I look forward to working with Thelma and the other Board members to continue spreading the mission," said Mr. Gibbs.

Over the last 6 weeks, Gibbs took on a very special fundraising project. He and his event co-chair, Scott Flannery, rallied the board around EBL’s first Fairway to Literacy Golf Tournament. Gibbs and his board  raised over $17,000 and garnished a host of new funding support from various business sectors.

Earning by Learning is a better nonprofit because of Scott’s great leadership.
