WRR's General Manager, Greg Davis, says of the partnership with EBL: "The WRR Classical 101.FM listening audience and the Earning by Learning collaboration with special events was a natural. WRR listeners are by nature community-oriented and interested in the causes that support education. Organizations that utilize collaborative efforts to address social concerns better serve the community with shared resources. It was especially rewarding to hear the founder of the organization acknowledge the collaboration between WRR and EBL's fundraisers and community reading events as a model for other cities. Earning by Learning conducts its Annual Book Giveaway:  Scholastic generously partnered with EBL and contributed books for our students.  Over 20,000 books were donated to nearly 100 schools and clubs to help students discover the joy of reading!

The annual Celebrity Guest Read was held at the Uptown Mckinney Xocolatl’ Room (home of Dallas Chocolates).
